CableRail Solutions for Over-sized PostsFeeney introduces the first CableRail kit designed to give customers the freedom to select the length of the Threaded Terminal end based on their post size! Like our standard CableRail Kits, all ATR CableRail Kits include our Quick-Connect® SS fitting, washers, and washer nut, but instead of swaging on a Threaded Terminal with a preset length to one end of the cable, we attach our specially designed All-Thread Receiver (ATR). The customer then orders the length of all-thread they need, from 1 inch to 3 feet, attaches it to the receiver, and installs the assembly into the post. Easy! Key features and benefits- Recommended solution for installations that use larger posts such as pilings, piers, or columns.
- Available with 1/8 and 3/16-in diameter cable.
- Kits available in lengths from 5 to 70-ft (In 5-ft. increments)

Each Kit Includes the following components- Pre-cut length of cable with an All-Thread Receiver Fitting attached to one end
- Quick-Connect® SS fitting
- 1/4-20RH Washer Nut
- Flat washers (stainless steel for wood posts and nylon for metal posts)

Easy Installation Steps
Below are the steps to installing our CableRail ATR Kits. For more details, download the installation instructions.
Mark drill hole locations on posts
Drill holes in posts. Hole diameter depends on cable size and type of fitting. (see Product Info for drill hole charts)
Insert Protector Sleeves at necessary locations. Tap in until flush.
Apply a high strength thread locking compound to the All Thread and attach to All Thread Reciever to create your Threaded Terminal.
Insert the Threaded Terminal through the Terminal end post and attach a flat washer and Snug-Grip® Washer-Nut. Spin the nut 2 full turns.
Lace the free end of the cable through the intermediate posts and Quick-Connect®SS end post. Slide-on a flat washer and Quick-Connect®SS fitting
Hold the Quick-Connect®SS fitting with one hand and pull the cable tight with the other to remove the excess slack in the line.
Tighten the Snug-Grip® Washer Nuts to adjust the final tension in the line.
Saw off the excess threads as close to the Snug-Grip® Washer-Nut as possible. Touch-up with electric grinder.
Use cable cutters or electric grinder with cut-off disk to trim the excess cable.
Snap on decorative End Caps over the exposed ends of the Quick-Connect®SS fittings and Snug-Grip® Washer Nuts.
Important Notes
Since building codes vary by state, county, and city, our recommendations may not comply with code requirements in all areas. Always consult with your local building department before starting your project.
